Pennsylvania Water Rescue Instructors Association

The PWRIA is a consortium of certified water rescue instructors located throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The purpose of the assocation is to discuss mutual problems, share experiences, establish uniform standards in instruction of the water rescue programs, and offer support and recommendations to the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. Our mission is to promote water and ice rescue training for fire and rescue department personnel.
